Aloha! I hope you have been well. Every time I send out one of these, I feel like I have to apologize for being an absentee author. But I have a good reason for leaving you without an update for so long. Not only have I been writing up several storms, but I have been sorting out what I am calling The Felix I.D. Dimaro This is not Quite a World Tour but I’ll Get There Someday Tour. Or the Not Quite World Tour for short. I’ll be showing up at events and having book signings around the Greater Toronto Area, for the most part, but the tour kicks off in Edmonton, Alberta this Sunday, July 20th, with my only date outside of Ontario. Why? Because I’m here visiting family, and I wanted to experience what a book signing in Edmonton would be like. Also, I may have scheduled the signing on Sunday to avoid three solid hours of church (and to possibly save my life, because I’m not certain I wouldn’t burst into fire upon entry into the House of God).
There will be additional dates added to what you see above toward the end of the year. I shall keep you posted if and when that happens. If you’ve read through my event list, you might have stopped at Canadian Pet Expo and wondered why an author like me would be at a place like that. It’s because I have two cat horror stories. And wherever I sell my books, I always sell copies of one or both cat tales to fans of felines who happen to stop by and ask about my demonic cat covers and what inspired them. Which gives me an excuse to talk about my poor, sweet, dead cat, Cat; to whom both books are dedicated.

At Pet Expo, I’m going to be surrounded by tens of thousands of pet lovers. I figured I’d take a chance and see how my little killer cats do when amongst their target audience. I’ll discuss this event in more detail in a later post that will include how those of you in (or willing to travel to) the area can win free tickets to Canadian Pet Expo, and free signed copies of my cat books while you’re there.
A Bit of a Writing Update
In my last post, I mentioned needing beta readers for two books: Brain-Dead Girls and Neon Apocalypse. Well, they have been beta read, they are in the editing process, and I can tentatively say that one of them will be out this year. I contemplated telling you which one now, but then decided on suspense for the sake of suspense. So, stay tuned for more updates on what my next release will be, and when and how you can expect it.
Thanks For Reading!
I hope to see as many of you as possible as I take this show on the road. In the meanwhile, head over to thingsthatkeemeupatnight.com to find out more tour details and a short breakdown of each event. It’s gonna be a fun and interesting summer. I hope you stick around to find out how it goes. And finally, shout out to Frank the Emcee over at Millennium Business Network for partially sponsoring this tour. You can find him on Instagram: @millenniumbiznet
How cool! Enjoy the ride :) looking forward to seeing which is your new release this year! Cheers, Mel
